update from LBFF
Good Morning, Family!
The kittens are still asleep so I thought I would take this chance to send you an update. I have been busy since I last wrote to you. PiWi Reese has arrived, so now I have another buddy to play with. The kittens are part of the Cootie Crew, and they helped me cootie PiWi when he got here! I have also finished my new logbook. The only hard part was hole punching all of the pages. We decided to make it pretty good sized with lots of pages. That way, big stamps would fit and there would be lots of room. I punched over 500 holes! My paws were really sore the next day, but I like my new book!
Last Saturday, Nitrocat "ran away" to go letterboxing with Questar and she took us with her. We went to Mendota and Princeton. We found 14 boxes and helped her plant 3 of them. We saw lots of really neat things. There was a covered bridge, a train, firetrucks, a baby praying mantis, and a tree covered with lots of moth coccoons. Kirby went with us too. He is a Border Collie puppy. He acts really crazy at home, but is very good in the car and on the trails.
This next week should be a little quieter. Nitrocat hopes to plant a few letterboxes later today and we are going to take some time to stamp her PTs and some postals. The rest of the time we will be getting ready to go to the Wild Goose Chase event next weekend. I am so excited about that!
Hugs for everyone!

Hey, Everybody!
I got to go letterboxing in Lombard yesterday! We took a picnic lunch and ate by the playground in one of the parks. J brought Jack, a stay-at-home coyote buddy, to play with too. We went down the slides and climbed all over everything. We saw a tree near the playground with 8 trunks! Nitrocat was mad at herself later for forgetting to take a picture of it. Then we went to find the Dos Lobos box. We hadn't needed the bugspray on the playground, so we forgot it in the car. That was a big mistake! After we found the box, we had to sit in a circle and brush the mosquitoes off each others backs while Stacy stamped as fast as she could.
It got hotter than we expected so the next box was nice. We went to the Sheldon Peck Homestead Museum and learned alot about the Underground Railroad and how they lived back in the 1800s. We didn't have to go in the museum for the clue, but we decided it would be fun anyway. We ended up spending a long time in there. The girls were really interested in everything from the spinning wheel to the quill pens to the rope bed. Did you know that before box springs were invented, they tied ropes to pegs on the bedframe under the mattress? Stacy says that is where the saying "Sleep tight" comes from. They wanted the ropes tight so the mattress wouldn't sag.
When we left the museum, we found the UGRR Quilt Box #2. It is a very cool stamp of a quilt block called "Wagon Ride". After that we got Slurpies and bottled water to drink in the car. On the way home, we stopped and found the Faith Ring Box. The kittens liked that one because it was a drive by and they got to stay in the car. There was a hitchhiker in that box too!
All in all, it was a pretty good day!
Love,
LBFF
P.S. Nitrocat says "Thanks a lot" for sending the words to my song. Now she has it hopelessly stuck in her head. Hee hee!

Little bunny FooFoo visits with nitrocat & kittens
Hi, Flory Family!
I arrived safely at Nitrocat's house yesterday and am settling in. I didn't realize that traveling could be so exhausting! The kittens were tired too after their swimming lessons, so we just took it easy last night. We stamped some of the Dog Breeds PLBs and watched Bugs Bunny cartoons until bedtime. I get to sleep with M, the littlest kitten. I am also making friends with Moppett, one of their real cats.
Today we hope to find a few letterboxes after J's therapy appointment and a picnic lunch. By then my logbook should be full, so Stacy (Nitrocat) said she would teach me how to make a new one. She said Teasel made one and he's all thumbs, so it should be easy for me.
I will write again in a few days. Have a great week! Say "Hi!" to everyone for me!
